2024 Super Street Rules

Safety:  The following safety issues will be enforced.

  1. NO motorcycle helmets or DOT allowed.  Helmet must have SFI 2020 or 2015 rating.
  2. Seat belts 2017 or newer (can’t be frayed)
  3. Must have working fire extinguisher must be charged, permanently mounted and easily accessible. NO EXCEPTION!

NOTE:  One class will be pre-checked before race, every race day.

Super Street Division

Any tolerance determined by tech man and management decisions will be FINAL!!

BODY:

Any American made 1970-1995 production sedan.

Stock firewall and floorboard OR enclosed driver compartment OK.

Bodies may be cut for tire clearance.

Bodies may be hulled. Removal of dash permitted.

Uni-bodies may be tied together.

Trunk must be sealed from driver’s compartment.

No sharp edges.

Rear spoiler 6″ x 72″ permitted with 6in. to 2in. by 12in. long, total of 3 supports. Must be in center of body

Rear deck 72″ at top of interior at spoiler, Rear of car can be open.

Aftermarket nose and rear cover permitted. Must be stock appearing. No sloping noses. No Dirt

Noses

No radios.

Must have 3 bars in front of driver’s window.

Must have tow hooks on front.

 

May run aftermarket body, steel or aluminum. Fiberglass roof and hood ok. Roof must be stock

appearing. No Aluminum Roofs Body must be stock appearing.

(If you look like a late model prepare to run with Late Models)

May run skirts. Maintain 3 in ground clearance

 

WHEELBASE:

Minimum 1” tolerance for your chassis. Wheelbase must match chassis. Example: (74 Camaro

108″)

 

CHASSIS AND SUSPENSION:

Screw jacks OK front and rear. On leaf springs, on rear of spring only

May relocate top a-frames. May run tubular top a-frames.

Changing of springs OK. Coil for Coil, Leaf for Leaf. Example: (no coil springs when org. had leaf springs)

Sliders allowed on rear leaf springs.

Sway bars and lowering blocks optional.

Any shock. Non-adjustable. NO coil over shocks. Shocks can be relocated one per tire.

Stock Steering box and components, after market tie rods, idler arms and center link okay

NO rack and pinion. Steering Quickeners OK. After market steering box okay.

Wide 5 Hubs OK.

*Metric 4 bar suspension on stock chassis OK *No 3 or 4 bar Aftermarket suspension design or

parts allowed.

*Must be stock front clip for chassis claimed. In stock location (1″ tolerance).

ENGINE:

350 block ONLY

358 CI – RULE ON ENGINE

Engine must sit with leading spark plug no further back than 1 in. of the center of the top ball joint.

NO porting and polishing.

Hydraulic cam and lifters or solid flat tappet only.

NO 4/7 crossfire cams.

Anti-pump up lifters OK. NO oversize lifters.

Headers allowed.

Any flat-top piston. Dish pistons ok.

No coating of engine parts, except pistons.

 

RODS:

OEM 5.7 rods with 7/16 rod bolts or sir eagle stock replacement rods. Pins may be floated. Polishing of beams ok. May run scat with 7/16 bolt or cap screw. I-beam only and Crower I-beam rods. No lightweight or billet rods.

 

CRANKSHAFT:

Steel crank must weigh 48 lbs. Cast crank must weigh 48 lbs. Must be stock stroke.

NO knife edging. Balancing ok. May run eagle or scat. All cranks will be weighed with pilot bushing,cam gear, bolt and washer.

 

INTAKE:

Any aluminum or steel intake. No porting or polishing.

 

HEADS:

No porting or polishing. Vortec part # 062 or 906 (Org. GM heads Vortex), 62cc combustion chamber

and 175cc runner ok. May use 300 hp 291, 462, 62cc combustion chamber or any stock production

head. Valve size 1.94 and1.50. Three-angle valve job OK. NO race flow valves. Stock type valve

springs. Double springs OK. Screw-in studs and guide plates OK. Roller rockers OK. 1.52 roller tip

  1. May use World product part # 4361 heads. 62cc rule with 1.94 & 1.50 valves. Bowl cut in head cannot exceed 1 inch and must remain lip. Maximum valve stem step down cannot exceed .010. 461 heads, 62cc combustion OK. (602 Crates Allowed 200# weight break) After Market Heads May run Engine Quest # 350C or Equivalent You are responsible for head you choose, choose wisely. No porting or polishing Intake runner on this head ranges from 178-180cc maximum.  If heads less than 62cc must add 50 lbs.

 

FORD:

Stock rods and crank. May run scat 4351W3500600 crank. Must weigh 53lbs. May run scat rods or Eagle rods. I-beam only. Crower I-beams ok. No lightweight rods.

 

HEADS:

Cast iron heads only. 302 or 351 world product Winsor Jr. 57 cc’s. 1.940 intake 1.500 exhaust. Must have straight stem valves. NO pro-flow or race flow or undercut valve stems. BORE-.060 plus.010 for wear.

CARBURETOR:

Quadrajet or 4412 two-barrel or 3310 Holley. NO porting or polishing. May remove choke butterfly. Must have stock air horn. Maximum carb. adapter 1 1/2″ maximum carb. spacer 1″ CANNOT run both adapter and spacer. Holley 650 cfm. Vacuum secondary. (This means unaltered factory specs.)

IGNITION:

OEM or single point distributor. Stock type H.E.I. OK. NO MSD box add on. NO crossfire caps.

 

CLUTCH:

Any steel flywheel must weigh 14 lbs. Stock-type clutch assembly minimum 10″ no lightweight. No aluminum parts. Triple Disc okay with adding 150 lbs. Clutches. Clutch & pressure plate must weigh 16lbs. Hydraulic release bearing OK.

BRAKES:

Any OEM factory brakes. All cars must have 4-wheel brakes. No shutoffs. 4-wheel disc OK. Dual master cylinder with brake adjuster ok.

 

TRANSMISSION:

Stock type. No aftermarket. Must have working forward and reverse. No automatic transmission

allowed. Steel Safety Bell housing required. Bert/Brinn style transmission ok.

 

REAREND:

Changing of rear ends, gears, ratios and locking ok. No quick-change. Wide 5 wheels ok. May run disc brake rear-end. 9″ Ford OK

 

WHEELS:

Bead Lock wheels okay. 1″ Lug Nuts on all wheels. Wide 5-wheel adapters ok.

12 or 14 wheels okay. Aluminum or Steel wheels okay.

Track Tire: Crate 21, D21, Spec 1350, D55 and D70 Hoosier Racing Tires Only

Tire Tule: Will be a 45-punch rule and we will be checking.

 

FUEL CELL

Mandatory. Racing gas permitted. NO alcohol.

Ballast

No Ball spline transmission.

 

WEIGHT

  1. Stock type transmission with minimum 14 lb steel flywheel, 2,800 lbs.
  2. Stock type transmission with racing style, triple disk clutch, 2,950 lbs
  3. Direct drive, Bert, Brinn, Falcon tpye transmission, 2,950 lbs
  4. Cars will be weighed, after the race, with driver, on track scales.

 

Golden Isles Speedway/Waycross Speedway cars are allowed as long as they are 100% percent by their rules weight

A.) Weights up to 50 lbs. must be positively fastened by 2 ½-inch, minimum grade 5 bolts with a

minimum of two (2) weight clamps. Threaded rods will not be permitted. All weights must be painted

white and clearly labeled with the car number on it.

B.) Any weight(s) must be securely attached to the frame below the body decking.

C.) Any car that loses any weight/ballast during an event may be subject to a penalty.

D.) Weights attached to the rear bumper and/or outside the frame will not be permitted.
