2024 Enduro Rules

(Bomber, Pure Stock, Factory Stock)

Safety:  The following safety issues will be enforced.

  1. NO motorcycle helmets or DOT allowed.  Helmet must have SFI 2020 or 2015 rating.
  2. Seat belts 2017 or newer (can’t be frayed)
  3. Must have working fire extinguisher must be charged, permanently mounted and easily accessible. NO EXCEPTION!

NOTE:  One class will be pre-checked before race, every race day.

Enduro Division

Any tolerance determined by tech man and management decisions will be FINAL!!

If not in this rule book it is supposed to be stock no exceptions.

Any car visiting from another track MAY be given one (1) courtesy race to run with weight penalties in order to try out Needmore Speedway’s rules package.  After this one (1) trial race, should the car return, it MUST be by Needmore Speedway rules.  Drivers must speak with the tech man before the race to access weight penalties or car will be disqualified.

  • Car- Enduro
    1. Any American made 2 or 4 door car. Body must appear stock and have stock body lines.
    2. Wheelbase must remain factory for car being used.
    3. All doors must be welded shut
    4. All glass and materials that would burn MUST BE REMOVED.
    5. Racing seat required. Seat must be bolted with a minimum of 6 3/8” bolts to bars that are welded to roll cage.
    6. Must have five (5) point quick release racing type seat belt and shoulder harness three (3 inches wide. Must be bolted to roll cage with minimum 3/8” bolt.
    7. Four (4) point roll cage required and must be welded to frame rails and all connections must be fully welded. All cages must be minimum diameter of 1 ½ inch and minimum 0.90 wall thickness.  A minimum of 3 horizontal bars is required in the driver’s door and a minimum of 2 inches in the passenger door.  Roll bar installation and workmanship must be approved.
    8. Stock unaltered floor pan and firewall must be retained.  24” high of firewall. Hulling permitted. Dashboard may be replaced with sheet metal.  All holes in floorboard and firewalls must be covered with sheet metal.  May replace rusted floor pan with sheet steel or aluminum behind seat and trunk floor.
    9. Notching of frame okay as long as the frame stays structurally sound. No Notching for Steering Arm Clearance
    10. Must have stock type bumpers. Aluminum OK if fitted to car properly. No bump bars of any kind.  May have radiator protection bar, cannot extend past front bumper.  May have bar to protect fuel cell.
    11. Must have 3 windshield bars in front of the driver
    12. Tow hook on front mandatory
    13. Battery must be located under hood or in trunk. If battery is mounted in cockpit., must be in sealed box.
    14. #1 Spark plug has to sit in front of or even with the balljoint no motor setback.
    15. Racing steering wheel with quick release permitted. Steering quickeners allowed.
    16. Approved fire extinguisher with gauge required and must be securely installed in reach of driver.
    17. Boxing around driver OK, must have 12-inch inspection panel
    18. Decking- rear decking OK
    19. No flat decking! Decks must taper downward from trunk hinge to rear of car
    20. Rear Spoilers OK, but must be a maximum of 6” high. Spoiler sides OK, but can be no longer than 18 ½” and 6 ½” high.
    21. Fiberglass hoods okay, as well as steel or aluminum.
    22. Must maintain stock roof shape (can be made of fiberglass or aluminum).
  • Engine- Enduro
    1. Engine must be strictly stock for that make and model. 0-deck height. 350 OK in all GM cars, metric included. Engine allowed 0.060 for bore plus 0.010 wear. Pistons must be 4 eyebrow flat top pistons.  Electric fuel pump OK.  Must be wired to ignition switch.  The following engines will not be allowed: superchargers, turbos, double overhead cam, LTI, LS, tuned port or HO’s.  All ignition parts must be stock.  No high performance parts. Solid engine mounts in stock location.  Factory stock appearing rod Scat or Eagle stock replacement I beam rod allowed. Pressed pins or floating pins allowed. Crank stock or Eagle crankshaft part # 103503480. Stock replacement pistons 4 eyebrow. Weight of pistons., is 1250 grams (piston rod, pins, rings, caps, and bolts) Crank 48lbs. (Ring size as follows:   1/8” top, 1/8” second, 1/8” or 3/16” oil ring.)
    2. Any Water Pump OK
    3. Heads: Stock Heads or EQ CH 3501 72cc min. Minimum 4.900 length valves. Max 1.94 intake and 1.50 exhaust. Any steel retainers. Valve spring maximum diameter 1.260. May have three (3) angle valve job. Symmetrical bowl work, no more than 500, below the lower 45-degree valve seat.  May pin stock rocker studs, or optional 3/8ths screw in studs. Stock 1.5 ration rocker arms only. No beehive valve springs. Poly locks Ok. Guide Plates OK. NO angle plug heads.  NO 191 or 193 Chevy heads. Engine Quest EQCH3501 or equivalent is allowed.  If you use another head, it is your responsibility to produce specs proving your head is exactly the same as the EQ head.  NO 185cc intake runners NO closed chamber or double humps.
    4. Exhaust Headers and Manifolds- Cast iron stock manifold or Schoenfeld part # 185m 1 5/8” tube header with 3” collector OEM stock cast iron. Must have 24 exhaust pipe.  Center dump OK. Step tube ok.
    5. Cam and Lifters: Intake lift 425, exhaust lift 425. Stock replacement hydraulic lifters only, no anti pump ups. Must have wire ring clip 0.00 lash. Stock length push rods only.
    6. The North Florida and All Tech Built engine rules can apply at Needmore Speedway

 

  1. Carburetor:
  2. a) The REQUIRED carburetor is six hundred (600) C.F.M> or five hundred (500) F.M. two (2) barrel, Holley carburetor; Part number 01850, 04412, or 80457. The choke horn and list number must remain intact.  Removal of the choke butterfly and choke assembly is permitted. No polishing or other modifications except changing jets will be permitted. Quick car rear meter plate OK.  Carburetor spacer one-piece adapter Mr. Gasket type 0.750in.
  3. b) Rear Jet plates with center hung floated bowls permitted. Dual lines are OK. Quadra jet must be OEM factory stock except for the following options. Removal of choke plates, shaft, and choke mechanism. Side load or front load OK.  Carburetor must pass Needmore Speedway GO-NO-GO Gauges.
  4. c) Crate Engine Carburetor option 2: Holley 80541HP 650 CFM. NO CARBURETOR SPACER OR ADAPTERS ALLOWED. Carburetor must bolt directly to intake, maximum gasket thickness .125. No billet parts. Must maintain Holley specifications, No altercations, must pass track GO-NO-GO gauges. NOT allowed on built engines.

(i) $500 claimer on carburetor

(ii) Intake: stock unaltered cast iron or aluminum manifolds, no grinding, cutting, or gasket matching. NO bowties. Edelbrock 2701 is the only intake allowed. A spacer and/or adapter are allowed. The height of the combination not to exceed gasket thickness 1.125 thousandths for both gaskets, from top of the intake manifold to the bottom of the carburetor.

  1. 602 Crate engines allowed. Must have factory or certified seals.
  2. Timing: No gear drive. No hex adjusts. May degree camshafts.

Drive Train and Suspension- Enduro

  1. Transmission must be stock. Standard or automatic. Any stock single disc 10 ½ clutch disc okay and stock working torque converter. No dump valves. Aftermarket hydraulic clutch pedal and release bearing OK. Steel safety bell housing when using standard transmission. Forward and reverse must work. Flywheel must be a min of 16 lbs.  14 lbs. min on clutch and pressure late.  Stock flywheel only.
  2. Rear-end: Stock rear-end for make of car only. Rear end stock like what came in car. Lock rear ends OK. Ford 9- inch allowed. Stock style rear end. NO quick change. Floater OK, no locking differentials in rear-end..
  3. Shocks and Springs: Stock mounted, Stock appearing racing shocks located in stock location. No heim joint shocks with adapters. Bottom of front shocks may be spaced down a maximum of ¾” from lower control arm. May use shock extensions on left rear only. No Bump Stops, bump springs, ETC. $100 claimer per shock and must buy all 4 shocks and it has to be the four shocks mounted in race position.Stock type suspension for make, model and year of car.  No jack bolts allowed. All parts have to bolt to factory brackets. Heavy duty racing springs allowed. Modification (heating/cutting) OK. Lowering blocks allowed (nonadjustable).
  4. Adjustable shackles allowed
  5. Any length spring OK
  6. NO Spring Buckets in rear
  7. Trailing arms are to be the same length top and bottom as stock, no tolerance. Stock replacement trailing arms OK. NO Monoballs. No adjustable trailing arms and no heim end trailing arms. The bottom trailing arms must be 2 ¾” +/- ½” from bottom of axle tube to center of bolt in trailing arm mount. Must be the same measurement left to right (no offsetting)
  8. Adjustable cups allowed OK
  9. No chains or limiting devises allowed
  10. Aftermarket tubular A frames allowed. Upper A-Frames must remain within 1” of one another (example 8” RF, 9” LF)
  11. Spindles must be factory OEM for make, model and year no tubular or 3-piece spindles allowed.
  12. Lower A-Frames must remain stock and match chassis. Any lower control arm bushing
  13. ***optional** Front sway bars must be mounted with stock bolts and bushing (rubber) NO NEOPREME BUSHINGS aftermarket.
  • Brakes- Enduro
  1. Stock type master cylinder, booster optional. 4-wheel disc brake OK
  2. NO aluminum hats/rotors, all 4 brakes must work.
  3. Stock Brake pedal assembly.
  4. Racing pedals with dual master cylinders OK
  5. NO adjuster rods in cockpit.
  • Fuel- Enduro
    1. Fuel tank may be moved inside of truck. Tanks must be securely mounted
    2. Fuel cell required. Fuel cell mist be no lower than center of the rear end housing.
    3. Pump Gas or Racing Fuel only!  No oxygenated fuel
  • Weight-Enduro
    1. The required weight is a minimum of thirty-three hundred (3300) pounds including the driver on the track scales AFTER the race.
    2. Any sedan over 110 in wheelbase 50# weight break
    3. 1lb per lap burn off feature only

 

  • Claimer Rule- Enduro
    1. No driver can make more than 2 claims in 1 season.
    2. Must finish in top 5 to make any claims
    3. Refusal to sale driver will be disqualified for that race and lose all accumulated points for season.
    4. All claims must be in writing and you will have 10 minutes after checkered flag to make claims

i)$100 Claim on Intake (built motors only)

ii) $500.00 Claim on Carburetor

iii) $1,000 Claim on crate engine 650 cfm.

iiii) $100.00 Claim per shock and must buy all 4 shocks $400.00 Total.

  • Tires and Wheels- Enduro
    1. Tire: Maximum width 8” D.O.T. tires, H500 Hoosier.
    2. Wheels: Steel wheels’ maximum 8” wide. No aluminum wheels Must have 1” lug nuts with correct lengths studs on all 4 wheels. Bead locks allowed.
    3. No treating. Grooving and Siping Allowed.
